Cosmetic Hand Surgery

Francesco E. Campanile, M.D.

Francesco E. Campanile, M.D. is a board certified plastic surgeon. He is also fellowship trained in hand surgery and microsurgery. This additional specialized training and expertise have given Dr. Campanile the skill to address difficult and challenging situations in all areas of the body. His amazing talent and true understanding of the structures of the face, body, and hand allows him to provide outstanding care during cosmetic, reconstructive, or hand surgery procedures.

Dr. Campanile's Training

An honors student throughout his training, Dr. Campanile is the recipient of several research awards in the field of plastic surgery. He completed his general surgery and plastic surgery residencies at the exclusive McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He then went on to complete a hand and microsurgery fellowship at Ohio State University.

After Dr. Campanile's extensive training, he began working in Southwest Florida in 1997, as the area's first fellowship-trained hand surgeon. A few years after developing his hand surgery and cosmetic practice, Dr. Campanile was appointed Chief of Plastic Surgery for the Lee Memorial Hospital System. He remained in Florida until 2009 when he joined New West Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Surgery group.
