About Your Visit: Scheduling Surgery

Our surgeons perform surgeries in a number of inpatient and outpatient facilities. Inpatient surgeries that require hospital recuperation are scheduled by each surgeon's nurse. Outpatient surgeries are managed by our Surgery Coordinator who schedules the surgery to fit your schedule as well as the surgeon's.

Once your surgery date is determined, the Coordinator will meet with you and explain the requirement for certain tests, depending upon your medical condition. A history and physical may be scheduled, permission forms signed, and payment arrangements made. The Coordinator also arranges for any brace or device you may need after surgery, such as crutches or slings, and a physical therapy referral determined by your surgeon.

We believe an informed patient who participates in his care has a better surgical outcome. Family members are also encouraged to participate in the visit, especially those helping with your aftercare.
