Congratulations Scott Kratzer for winning the George F. Sullivan Athletic Trainer of the Year Award presented by the Nebraska State Athletic Trainers Association.
This award goes to the Nebraska athletic trainer who has gone above and beyond in promoting and improving the profession, while still performing their regular duties as an athletic trainer. Scott has been an athletic trainer at New West Sports Medicine for over 25 years and, during that time, has helped a countless number of individuals get back to doing the activities they love!
“Scott is a great athletic trainer and sets the gold standard for all trainers everywhere. Any school fortunate enough to have Scott over the years has had not only a trainer that cared about the students and the athletes, but one who reached out to and cared for everyone he met through the schools and communities. I am proud to have associated with Scott all these years. He has made my life better by having known him. I strive to be better at my profession and to be closer to my patients because of his excellent example. Congratulations to Scott for winning this prestigious award. He couldn’t be more deserving.” – Dr. Heber C. Crockett

I have witnessed Scott interact with athletes, parents, coaches, administrators, and community members; he has always represented himself as the utmost professional. His knowledge base as a trainer and his respect for the field of sports medicine is outstanding. I have been blessed to work alongside Scott in clinic and at live sporting events, and he has made me a better sports medicine physician. Congratulations!” – Dr. Nolan May
“Scott is an exemplary professional. He continually displays the highest level of integrity and dedication in his care for athletes and for those that he works with. He’s overcome numerous trials and obstacles through faith, resilience, and determination. I’m truly grateful and proud to have had the opportunity to work with him for two decades.
